Nelson Jalil, Camagüey, Cuba, 1984, is a multidisciplinary artist who has developed his work mainly in painting, installation and video. He graduated from University of the Arts of Havana in 2009, and the Fine Arts Academy of Camagüey in 2003.
Jalil´s work has been shown internationally at the Dom Museum, Viena, Austria; at the Kunsthalle, Vienna, Austria; at the Espace Témoin Art Center, Geneva, Switzerland; the Reinbeckhallen Art Center, Berlín, Germany; Cultural Centre, Beijing, China; the Experiments in Cinéma Film Festival, New Mexico, EEUU and the Center for the Development of Visual Arts in Havana, Cuba.
Jalil´s work has been also shown at the Fototeca of Cuba, the Ludwig Foundation of Havana, as well as in galleries, Art Fairs and alternative art spaces in Italy, France, Austria, Mexico and Cuba. His work is part of the permanent collection of Espacio 23 in Miami, as well as several private collections around the world.
